LATEST WORK FOR SALE These original acrylic and oil abstract landscape paintings are now in my online shop.

As a contemporary artist I often work outdoors in the landscape and improvise in response to nature. Painting in the landscape opens up new imaginative avenues and allows me to improvise with materials.

I am interested in how memory and story overlap, and find this particularly resonant when I am working in an atmospheric, remote or abandoned place. I collect mementos while in situ, found objects from nature, bits of discarded detritus, and make video and photographs. These are are often the inspiration for further artworks in the studio.
