This Year’s Model ’20, part II

I am delighted to have two paintings in Studio 1.1’s annual Members’ Show This Year’s Model along with the following group of really exciting artists. No private view this year unfortunately but if you are in London the gallery is open Thurs – Sunday 12 – 6pm or by appointment.

Normally – no, sorry! ‘Normally’ has now turned into a foreign country, where they do things differently. Nevertheless. Normally both parts of our members’ shows, This Year’s Model, follow each other at the start of the year. This year they were separated, the first taking place in January, and the second deferred to August. Our idea was simply to spread the members’ activity more equally through the year.

What has in actual fact separated them is obvious. We came back to the gallery in late July to pick up where we left off, with the last week of our show ‘Interval’ of work by Sacha Meaden and David Ben White. Now we continue with the second part of This Year’s Model’ 2020 with work that has inevitably been influenced by these interesting times.
